Association of the Year Award
Posted Monday, November 12, 2007

Thanks to the work of our board of directors and the loyalty of our members, the NELA is the 2007 recipient of the Limo Digest's Association of the Year Award.  The award was presented to Mike Pazzaneze and Rick Szilagyi during the Awards Banquet on Tuesday, November 6.

This is what the MC read as Mike and Rick were walking up to the podium to accept the award:

The New England Livery Association represents over 300 operators from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and all of the North Atlantic states. NELA incorporated in 1994 with a dozen operators to tackle the issues of the day facing the industry, and they haven’t stopped since. Led by President Mike Pazzaneze and his board of directors, the association tirelessly fosters relationships with major area airports, and local and state governments, and they are dedicated to being on the ground floor of any new regulations or legislation that effect their member companies. NELA also hosts an annual golf outing, which has become widely successful with over 140 golfers participating, as well as a Chauffeur Appreciation day held each year in July. Through its quarterly newsletter and meetings, supplemented by frequent emails, the association provides members with the most timely information and current legislative updates. Congratulations, NELA!
